The voice of local people.

Members of the public have a legal right to attend meetings of the Parish Council and its Committees except where they are excluded for specific items which need to be discussed in confidence.  Whilst the purpose of the meeting is to conduct the business of the Council, Newport Parish Council does set aside a period of time at the beginning of the agenda for Public Participation.   This is for the public to make comments or ask questions if they so wish, but it must be remembered that once the public session is over the public should take no further part in the meeting unless the Chairman gives permission.
The parish office is usually open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10.00 – 12.00.  Please contact the Clerk for an appointment, 07708406429 or clerk@newportessex-pc.gov.uk. Alternatively submit an enquiry on the Contacts page.

Agendas will be posted on notice boards and this website

We will endeavour to keep the information provided on our own site accurate and up to date.
