Newport Parish Council Strategy

“Supporting a Thriving, Forward Looking, Rural Community.”

Introduction

The Parish Council’s Strategy aims to guide our efforts to support a safe, flourishing and prosperous locality for our residents. The Purpose of this document is to provide the Parish Councillors and our community with an approved plan of targeted capital projects, areas, and assets in need of attention delivered against an approved financial forecast. This plan will sit alongside our business-as-usual activities. It is to be appreciated that changes can and will happen which will alter timings and commitments. To manage emerging changes and challenges this document will be reviewed on a quarterly rolling basis as follows;

• Maintaining Newport as a Thriving Community – September
• Protecting and Enhancing the Natural Environment and Protecting, Appreciating and Celebrating our Local Culture and Heritage – January
